Okay we have a trip coming up and given how overwhelming Florida is, I need some direction! My family are all big thrills and rides fans, and not so much character obsessed. We won't be bothered about any princesses or face characters for that matter. We have an unlimited Universal pass, and a 14 day Disney ticket...we don't want Seaworld or want water parks...

If you could give me any tips on which parks to go to when, and what fast passes to try for that would be great. I think 3 days at Universal, and 5 at Disney? We're not stopping on site so we have to wait a little longer until we can book our Fastpasses...

Arrive: Saturday October 25th 4pm, probably dinner and drinks at the hotel.

Sunday October 26th:

-morning: Hilton Downtown Disney breakfast (The Br'ers!)
- day time: shopping at a mall
-evening: Universal Horror Night

Monday October 27th:

-morning : pool/shopping
-afternoon: Hollywood Studios (Palooza 3pm 4pm 5:10pm, Fantasmic 7pm)

Tuesday October 28th:

-morning: Animal Kingdom for safari stuff, 11:45am character lunch Tusker House (booked),
-afternoon break at the hotel
-evening: MNSSHP for 4:30pm?

Wednesday 29th October:

-all day: Islands of Adventure (Harry Potter first)

Thursday 30th October:

-day off: pool/shopping
-evening: Epcot fireworks?

Friday 31st October: HALLOWEEN

-all day: Epcot
-evening: Epcot fireworks again, or Fantasmic?

Saturday 1st November:

-all day: Universal Studios

Sunday 2nd November:

-day off: pool/shopping

Monday 3rd November:

-all day: Magic Kingdom

Tuesday 4th November:

-all day: Animal Kingdom

Wednesday 5th November:

-free day: chill, or visit a park we really liked again for a half day

Thursday 6th November:

-all day: Hollywood Studios

Friday 7th November:

-fly home at about 4pm

I think for the 31st do the Halloween party either at Disney (Which is more child friendly) or at Universal (Which is alot more scary) this just depends on what you prefer=)
Also one thing that people often forget (We did we've only just checked for our trip to Paris in a few weeks) is have a look at any planned closures for Universal and Disney as this may affect where you go and when =)
With fastpasses see if you can find a place online where you can check current queue times, this will give you a bit of an idea of what rides are the busiest (if possible try and check three times, once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once in the evening) to see when the queues are the shortest and when they're consistently busy...
That's all I can think of but if i think of more i'll let you know =)

Well we're already doing them both earlier in the week, and I don't think there'll be much appetite to do them again tbh.

If you're not doing the Halloween party stay away from MK on party nights, but that's pretty much a given. Have you checked the EMH hours already?

Yeh I've been using Kenny's site which is pretty useful. He says to do MK on the days it'll run MNSSHP, as it will be quieter in the daytime?

Do your tickets have the park hopping option so you can go elsewhere in the afternoon?

It should be more quiet for rides, but from what my friends experienced the character options will be cut down. Like Gaston having no afternoon sets or Aladdin and Jasmine alternating instead of appearing together.

Yeh we have hoppers. I totally have zero character expectations Petra, as long as I see Donald and Daisy I'm okay (we have Tusker House booked, MNSSHP, PSS, Mexico Pavillion, AK are all pretty much certs), and with the Halloween Party hopefully if the rumours are true I'll meet Hades. Other than that, I'm just gonna take what I can get!

I should add, I've been cramming stuff into my brain, and I'm getting there with Disney. I really need some information, advice and guidance with IOA and US though...I don't know what I'm doing LOL

For that first week, I would avoid Epcot on the weekends and weeknights, due to the Food & Wine Festival, or at least the World Showcase. If you want to do it, hit it on a weekday as soon as it opens, and the then bug out to Future World or park hop elsewhere when you notice the crowds start piling up, which will probably be around 4-5pm.

Good advice, we'll do WS in the morning, and book the Fastpasses etc at Futureworld for the afternoon. Although, we'll probably do Soarin' first thing, as soon as we get into the park!
