Does this bother anyone else about the Mickey costume? The middle of his ears in the front aren't the same material as the rim of the ears, and the back of the ears....Like the front rim, the back of the ears, and the rest of his hairline are made of fur, but in the front on the middle is made of like a foam material...Does anyone know the reason for this? For some reason, I've always thought it looked weird....Why the difference in material?

I guess to pay lip service to anatomical accuracy. The different material in the center of the front presumably leads toward the ear drum. It gives people a definite point to whisper into his ear if they want to tell him a secret.

I think it's so the actor wearing the costume can hear everything around him/her because they can't hear well through the mouth
