Hey, just wondered who else preferred Huey, Dewey and Louis as they were in the classics; naughty, mischievous, cheeky. As opposed to the goody goody angels in Ducktales?

Same for Chip and Dale, although they're slightly different characters I suppose...

What's your thoughts?

I don't see Chip and Dale in Rescue Rangers the same way I see Chip and Dale in the original shorts from the early days. I see them as versatile characters that can take on a number of roles, and can adapt to the current times. Cartoon characters are ultimately immortal, and therefore need to reinvent themselves every so often in order to stay current. I love Chip and Dale in any capacity, there is always a naughty side to them, regardless of how heroic they become. Same with the nephews.
The same could be applied to the new Peter Pan from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He tells kids about responsibilities and helping one another, and even helps Captain Hook! We know that the "original" Pan would never have done this, but that was decades ago. In 2014 he has grown into a new identity, but he is still Peter Pan.

Just my ramblings

Yeh I think C&D are kinda different in RR, so differ t that the change works.

With HDL though, they are "the same", and I just prefer their older personas. It's different yet again in Quack Pack, where they are a different age, and I think their changed personalities make sense, and actually, make the show quote cool.

I feel these characters are essentially the same , but like Dan said, they just take on different roles. I guess for Disney Junior shows, the characters are made more friendly, which may explain why Pete isn't so bad in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, if I'm not mistaken.

I much prefer the Disney Afternoon version of Goliath as opposed to the one who met at Hollywood Studios...
