Hi guys, just planning some ideas for my trip in October.

Character dining is something I wanna do a few times, Tusker in AK is 100% to see Donald and Daisy, I have two major questions:

1: what are your other top tips for character dining?

2: has anyone had Disney Sunday breakfast at Hilton Downtown Disney? Apparently the Brers appear every week!?

Thank you

1) Try 1900 park fare, Anastasia, Drizella and Lady Tremaine are so funny! Also, if you want to meet the Princess, try Cinderella's Royal Table. When I went it was the Main Five, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Ariel and Belle.

2) It has Minnie and two other friends (not scheduled in advance), so it could be anyone

Thanks for the tips, none of us are princess fans so I think we're gonna dodge all of those sparkly bullets our whole trip (thank god!)...we might try for Ariel at her grotto but that's about it.

Minnie plus two others for Hilton? How random I've read that the Brers appear every week with Minnie (which I thought was supeeeeer odd).

When did you go? I'd appreciate any other tips you have

1900 Park Fare has the Tremaine's and Prince Charming at dinner. Although it's expensive, and kinda dull in there, lol.
Ohana is by far the best breakfast on property, at the Polynesian... well, I think so! It features Mickey and friends in Hawaiian outfits, plus Lilo and Stitch.

Some links to WDW character dining pages here at CC for you:

I have been to all Character Meals except Akershus and Hollywood and Vine. The ones I listed were my favourites for the Characters, all the food is generally the same (Mickey Waffles)! I read it on a website as the Hilton website does not say.

Haha Dan! I've read all those pages already, you know I'm obsessed with this website (much to Ren's bewilderment, ahem, "are you on that site AGAIN?") lmao!

Character dining is MUCHHHHH cheaper than DLP, but of course has much less characters

LOL. I figured you probably had But never hurts to be sure
And yes, you're right on both accounts with regards to comparing WDW to DLP. It's "swings and roundabouts" as one would say... Inventions might cost a bomb, but you can't beat the themes that they have, the random characters that can appear and the awesome view over the park! But, WDW is a lot cheaper and they do have some fun dining options, even if you do only get 4 characters compared to Inventions 10 or 12 lol

Is there ever any Halloween character dining options? With special characters?

Sadly no. Years ago the Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom used to have cute costumes for the VIPs during Halloween season, but that ended about 5 years ago. WDW rarely do seasonal character dining. I'm shocked they are offering the two new Star Wars ones this year at Star Wars Weekends!

Yeh the only reason I asked was because of the two Star Wars dining products.

Isn't it 6 months in advance? It's the 5th month now, which means 6 months from now it'll be November. Besides, you go in October, right?

EDIT: I just checked disneyworld.com they currently have up to the 1st nov on their website for ADRs.

Oh that's awesome, I'll leave it for next week and get things booked up.

Quick question: is BOG worth it?

I liked Be Our Guest. It has great theming, and the food was nice. Honestly though, I won't rave about it like others do. If you can't get a reservation it's nothing to cry about, LOL! But, if you can get in, it's definitely worth it. My biggest problem with it is that it's very noisy in there.

Yeh I wanna do it, but I resent it just being beast, I think belle should be there too for an awesome group shot. Meh, I might save the money and book something different. I need to talk to my family to find out their priorities too, surely, none of them are interested in rare characters lmao! As long as they get Mickey, Minnie and Donald they'll be happy!

Hm, I guess. But he has met at WDW for years. All they did was move him from France at Epcot to Be Our Guest. The annoying thing being that now you have to pay for BOG where's he had a regular greeting in Epcot :/
We saw Beast at DLP at New Year at the NYE meal. My, what a disaster... I'm sure Martin can tell you all about that one bowrofl
