Charming, musically talented and the prince of a small European nation, Naveen is a big hit with the ladies - but that is the problem. His free spirited ways have also left him disowned from his country, and bankrupt. Prince Naveen travels the world on the remainder of his former fortune, dancing and singing along the way. Required by his father to marry a princess, Naveen has no intentions to settle down, but when he gets turned into a frog by his treacherous aide and the ghoulish Dr. Facilier, Naveen discovers something about himself he hadn't known before. He comes to realise that those around him actually have feelings too, and that maybe, just maybe, he should take a step back from his self-indulgence for a moment to see what really matters. When all is lost and he finally accepts his wild lifestyle has led him nowhere except broke, he comes to see that all he needed was someone he could rely on, someone to be by his side. Believing he will remain a frog forever, he and Tiana get married by Madame Odie in the swap. Of course, once they are married, Tiana becomes a princess and the spell is broken. Relieved to be human again, and realising his love for Tiana, they set up her dream restaurant by the river, fulfilling not only her dream, but the dream inside his heart that he never knew was there before.
