Hello everyone,
Last weekend, the Lightning McQueen was joined by Cruz Ramirez and Jackson Storm at Disney Springs, at Walt Disney World, for a special three-day appearance to kick off their nationwide tour to promote the new movie (June 16th).
We were there on Sunday to meet them, and so I have some photos to share with you all.
They had a special area set up at the back of the Marketplace, which was scheduled to open at 11am. We got there around 10.20am, as we had heard that the lines had been long the two days before, and indeed there was already about ten families ahead of us. After the forty minutes had passed and opening time arrived, the line snaked back out of view, and I was glad that we got there when we did.
We headed straight to the meet the cars themselves. You lined up once, and met each car individually. There were PhotoPass photographers at each car.
There were activity stations, too, including a place you could make your own (cardboard) car, change a tire, and even get a sneak peek of the new movie. Really the area was fairly uninspired, and there was really nothing else to take photos of, so I don't have anything else to share about it.
There is an official tour schedule, which you can find here. If you have any hardcore Cars fans in your family, then this might be fun. I wouldn't go out of my way to experience this though, if it was a hassle in any way. That's just my opinion, however, I would rather err on the side of caution that hype it up and people be disappointed.
