Hello everyone,
Well, 2014 is nearly said and done, and 2015 draws ever nearer! It’s been a fantastic year here at Character Central, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each one of our fans for supporting us for another year of laughter and magic.
In 2014 we had so many adventures, it would be impossible to claim any one of them was our favourite. From starting the year with the Einsteins at Disneyland Paris, Easter with the Aristocats, meeting Oswald for the first time in Tokyo DisneySea, to Christmas at Walt Disney World, it has been simply incredible. If I tried to share every magical moment we had in 2014 I’d not only be here for a week embedding the photos, but you would also get bored! So, this year, instead of my epic "post ever single character we saw" review, I thought I would share with everyone a selection of our favourite character moments from the year (just characters, because if I shared other photos and moments too, again, I’d be here forever!). Having said that, a "selection" from the incredible amount of things we've done means that this post is still really long, so just be warned if you have a slow internet connection!
Let’s start the year on New Year’s Day at Disneyland Paris, where four bright young children made a surprise appearance at the ever-random and wondrous Invention Brunch!
Then it was back to Disneyland Paris in February for Valentine’s Day! We attended the Neverland Brunch at Inventions and there was a special Valentine's dinner at the Disneyland Hotel.
In April we visited Disneyland Paris again, this time for their Easter and Spring offerings. I absolutely fell in love with their new spring cavalcade! We were also there for Spider-Man’s debut and were the first in line to meet him!
In May we went to Tokyo and enjoyed all of their spring entertainment, and got to meet Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for the first time!
The following month, June, I went back to Disneyland Paris for the end of their spring season.
We had thought that by the summer we might be able to get back to one of the US resorts, but alas, life happens, and so we returned again to Disneyland Paris!
For the same personal reasons that prevented us from visiting the US resorts in August, we were still unable to visit in September, like we had really hoped, so guess what? Yes, you guessed it! Back to Disneyland Paris! (We do go somewhere different after this though...)
Finally, after months of delays, we were able to get back to Walt Disney World at the start of December! We attended not one, but three Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties and much more!
Our final Disney experience of 2014 was to attend Disney On Ice’s Frozen show. I have to say, these shows have really improved over the years, and despite not being fans of the Frozen over-hype, this show was pretty good!
The New Year brings many more new and exciting experiences for us. We start the new year in Disneyland in California, and have several more trips planned for there, Walt Disney World, a summer trip to Disneyland Paris and finally a Christmas trip to Tokyo Disney Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland! It’ll be a busy year again, but it’s set to be just as magical, if not more!
Happy New Year everyone, from Dan and Jon!
