Hello everyone,
The other day the Disney Parks Blog announced that Spider-Man would be making his US Disney Parks debut on November 16th at the new Super Hero HQ, in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. In the comments section, Communications Manager, Shawn Slater, confirms that Captain America would be leaving Disneyland for the time being, but didn't rule out his return in the future. Spider-Man made his grand Disney Parks debut eighteen months ago, in April 2014, at Disneyland Paris. We were the first guests in his line, and have met him numerous times since. The meet 'n' greet there is well set up, and we have no doubt that Disneyland will do an equally good job when the Super Hero HQ opens next month.
Before we move onto the other news for this week, let's take a moment to look inside Spider-Man's meet 'n' greet at Disneyland Paris.
Across the Pacific Ocean from Disneyland, at Tokyo Disney Resort, we also learned last week that Prince Hans and the Rock Trolls would be making their Disney Parks debut in the new "Anna and Elsa’s Winter Greeting" during "Anna and Elsa's Frozen Fantasy", at Tokyo Disneyland park. The event runs from January 12th through March 18th, 2016. Presently, Hans and the Trolls can only be seen in the "Disney On Ice - Frozen" production which tours the US.
Let's take a look at Hans, Grand Pabbie and his fellow Rock Trolls in some photos we took of the Disney On Ice show we saw a little while ago.
Finally, in the same blog post, the Disney Parks Blog also announced that the cute cat friend of Duffy and ShellieMay, Gelatoni, would be joining them in Tokyo DisneySea, in a brand new show titled, "Come Join Your Friends". Obviously Gelatoni has not appeared at any other park yet, but for those of you who don't know who he is, here is a photo of our own cute plush Gelatoni, which we got from Tokyo DisneySea (and I'll add a photo of a bag I once saw at the parks, too, which depicts Gelatoni with Duffy).
The announcement did not specifically give a start date for Gelatoni and the new show, so we shall have to wait and see as 2016 approaches for more announcements from Disney. We don't know when we will be able to get to Tokyo Disney Resort to see Gelatoni (we certainly won't be able to make it for his debut, nor for Hans and the Rock Trolls, sadly!), but we anticipate that he will be around for a long time, so we look forward to seeing him in the future!
