Hi all, Dan is much more of a writer than I am so I don't normally do trip reports; however, in the past I have done "Photo Trip Reports" that are 95% pictures with some comments mixed in. I thought I would do one for our Disneyland Trip since there was a lot of new stuff. This will probably be the longest part as I have a lot more pictures from the 1st day (even though we didn't arrive until 1pm) than the other days. The "Magic Kingdom" park at a resort is almost always our first stop on a trip unless there is a really good reason for it not to be. This trip with all the new stuff in DCA there definitely was a reason to go to DCA first and that is what we did! I never hated Sunshine Plaza and I was sad to see some of its elements go away; however, after seeing Buena Vista Street all I can say is "WOW! What an improvement". I really love the look and feel of Buena Vista Street and think they did an excellent job. I saw pictures of many aspects of Buena Vista Street before we arrived and I had thought some of them (Carthay Circle Theatre) didn't look that impressive; however, everything makes a MUCH better impression in person.  [ Read More... ] |

Hi all,
Welcome to the fourth part of my Disney Cruise Trip Report.
Day 5 was our first port of call, the Dutch owned St Maarten.
The ship docked early in the morning just before breakfast and we were allowed to debark any time after about 8am (if I remember correctly).
So, after breakfast we made our way down to the tender lobby on deck one.
To debark the ship you need your Key to the World card, and they also recommend ID, but all 3 days we were in ports we were never asked for additional ID.  [ Read More... ] |

Hi all,
Welcome to part two of my Disney Cruise trip report!
On day 2 of our Disney Cruse we started off with a buffet breakfast at Topsiders. As I mentioned in my previous report, Topsiders is very busy and chaotic, and probably my least favourite place to dine. It is strange because we got the impression from various things, that some people didn't actually attend their rotation restaurants a lot of the time, which seems a complete waste of money to us. The cruise costs enough, and the other dining offering are far superior, so why eat there?
Anyway, after breakfast we decided to hunt characters. Easier said than done!
Here we hit our second major drawback of the cruise experience - the other one that would prevent us from immediately returning (the other was the no pictures in the shows, you may recall from part one).  [ Read More... ] |

Hi all,
Welcome to this first part of my Disney Cruise trip report! In this report we'll be going through the embarkation process and first days' events aboard the ship.
As you all know, Jon and I travel frequently to all the parks around the world, but until this trip had yet to experience a Disney Cruise.
I can't say for sure why we hadn't done one sooner, but life has many things that it brings our way, and we can't be everywhere at once, sadly!
To begin with, for your reference, we sailed on the Disney Magic, on the 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida.
We had two full days and a morning in Walt Disney World before hand, and a day and a half afterwards. Of course, we travel to WDW often so I won't bore you with all the details, except we had an amazing time as always, and got to see our favourite characters, shows and parades.  [ Read More... ] |

Hi all!
A couple of days ago I promised to show you some of the cool things we had done on our most recent two trips to Disneyland Paris for Christmas and New Year.
I haven't had the time unfortunately to upload as many pictures as I would have liked yet, but have made a start, and so as not to keep you waiting any longer, have decided to make a "part one", with the pictures I have so far.
For the most part I'm sure you can figure out if something is special or not, so I won't make too many comments, just enjoy the photos!   [ Read More... ] |

Hi all, As you all know Jon and I have spent the last week in Disneyland California for the Halloween season. I don't tend to write trip reports for places that we visit fairly frequently, but we experienced so much new stuff on this trip that I had to write one! We had five days of fun and adventures across the resort with many of our Disney friends, including Loren, who you all already know. While there we not only got to experience the park's Halloween offerings but also some other new things along the way.  [ Read More... ] |

Hi all,
Welcome to the final, albeit delayed, part of my Hong Kong Disneyland trip report.
There are just a few things that I wanted to talk about that did not really fit into the other parts, as they were more about the individual lands.
So I want to now just mention the 5th anniversary happenings, summer events and a couple of other special things that we did while we were there.
Since last September HKDL has been celebrating its fifth birthday, and this year made some additions and changes to the entertainment line-up.  [ Read More... ] |

Hi all, Welcome to part five of my HKDL trip report.
In this section we move onto Tomorrowland.
I know you probably think I sound like a cracked record by now, but I'll say it anyway! Like the rest of the park Tomorrowland has some really good features, but definitely needs more. It has just five attractions, two restaurants and two minuscule stores. This is compared to say the Magic Kingdom that has eight, two and three respectively (you could even count the Lunching Pad which would make three restaurants).
Let us begin with the overall look and feel of Tomorrowland.  [ Read More... ] |
