Hi all,

So Jon and I are back from our crazy trip to Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World, and have been really busy trying to catch up with everything.

First off I just want to update you regarding an issue with photos on the site. Flickr has something called API, and it allows people to post their pictures, and then use them on the Internet, like we do on this site. Unfortunately this is broken at the moment, and we are hoping that Flickr resolves this quickly. It isn’t affecting everything, but is affecting some stuff, so you may find that random pages have no pictures, while others look perfectly fine.

I have began working on some of the pictures from our amazing Christmas trip, and they have started to gradually appear on my Flickr, so be sure to check back often to see the latest additions. Jon will be working on his soon.

While we were in Paris and Orlando we met a number of new characters, and so they will also be making their way onto the site in due course. Some of you may have noticed on the side panel that I already added three very rare and special characters last night… (sadly due the Flickr issue, not all the photos for them are being displayed yet).

Regarding older pictures, Jon and I still have lots of photos from the summer (Disneyland California and Tokyo Disney Resort), Halloween and our other Disneyland Paris Christmas trip in November. All these will be coming soon, but as with everything, takes time.

I also know that I haven’t posted the last Character of the Week yet. For those of you wondering, Maleficent won the last vote. She will get her post very soon - hopefully by tomorrow - but it depends on how much time I get to do it. Character of the Week is a feature that I enjoy writing, and I know a lot of you like to read, but in the new year, it may have to go on hiatus for a few weeks while I try to catch up with a lot of other things that need to be done on the site. There are still a lot of meeting information boxes and character descriptions that need writing, and in some cases just updating to more current information. These take priority in order to ensure that our site stays the number one source for all your character information.

I do have a number of other new featured articles planned for the new year, and I hope you will enjoy those as much as you have all enjoyed the Character of the Weeks posts.

Jon will also be working to add some new features to the site. I won’t say what just yet, but there will be some cool new ways of interacting with the site, hopefully launching soon!

Finally, the site turns one year old on New Year’s Day, and since the site’s launch nearly a year ago, it has grown and developed into something that both Jon and I are immensely proud of, and love working on.

We are continually surprised at the number of people following us on Twitter, and the number of new Facebook fans we get weekly. We are very grateful for all your support and we look forward to sharing more of our magical memories, and our love of the Disney Characters with you for many more years to come.
