Hi all,

Since my last Character News Update, there hasn’t been too much going on. Christmas Season at the Parks tends not to encourage too much big news.

I have a couple of small bits for you though.

First off, to Paris. We have it on good authority that when the new Magical Moments celebration starts in the spring, that Huey, Dewey and Louie will begin making regular appearances at the Park. We don’t really have too much other information on this right now, except that they are known to be in Paris, and have multiple outfits for various uses (such as Fantillusion). I’ll let you know when I have more on that.

Staying with Paris, we have also heard that Marie will start making regular appearances too. Again, no other real details as to when and where, but we do know that Paris does now have a Marie in their possession, and that merchandise for her has multiplied rapidly across the resort in preparation for her anticipated success.

Moving over to Hong Kong now. A little while ago you may recall I said that Hong Kong’s parade had stopped? Well this indeed turned out to be true (I wasn’t sure due to the fact that it had stopped anyway for the Halloween parade). I do know that there is a new parade in the works for Hong Kong, and will have some pretty amazing looking floats! It is currently under the working title of ‘Flights of Fantasy’.

The opening float will be a sailing ship attached to a hot-ear-balloon (get it?). Two other floats that I currently know of will consist of a surfing Stitch with Hawaiian scene and a large Toy Story unit with something akin to the Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop ride built into it, whereby the Soldiers move up and down.

I have heard that it premieres on January 21st, but we’ll see what happens!

Lastly for characters, moving over to California and sticking with parades, I recently found out that Disneyland’s Soundsational is running a bit behind, and will be ready for a March launch now. This means that once A Christmas Fantasy Parade finishes next week, that the original park and resort will be left completely parade-less from January to March! For those of you wondering, PIXAR Play Parade currently cannot run doe to the California Adventure construction, and the Electrical Parade was sent to Florida. A sad time for the original park, and we hope that Soundsational does not get delayed any longer. It will be certainly very welcomed by everyone in California once it does arrive, I know that for sure!
