Today is the 23rd anniversary of the grand opening of Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Originally named the Disney-MGM Studios, the park has seen many new additions over the years, including characters!

Today is the 60th anniversary of the release of the Chip and Dale cartoon, Two Chips and a Miss (1952).
It was the only animated short to ever feature Clarice, and has earned her almost a cult status amongst character fans; which means it is also Clarice's 60th birthday!
It is one of the very rare occasions also where Chip and Dale work against each other - to win the sole affection of the beautiful singer, Clarice. Both madly in love with her, they try a variety of things to get her attention. In the end Clarice gives them both a kiss, and they sing the night away all together, at the club where she works, the Acorn Club.
Today, Clarice can be found in the Disney Parks worldwide, most notably in Paris and Tokyo.
So let's take a look at some of our favourite pictures of Clarice from our time at the Parks, and let's wish her a very happy 60th birthday!

Hi all,
Today marks the 45th anniversary of the opening of the original Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Disneyland, California.
Of course we are a Character site, and Pirates of the Caribbean inspired the movie series. From that we were given probably one of the most popular characters in recent history, Jack Sparrow.
As well as Captain Jack, we have also seen Angelica and Captain Barbossa appear in the Parks.
So, to celebrate here are some pictures of them at the Parks!

Today is the 62nd anniversary of the original release of Walt Disney's masterpiece, Cinderella.
On this day in 1950, the world would be introduced to the immortal words of 'So This is Love', and the now much (maybe over) used 'Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo'.

Eleven years ago today, the then named Disney's California Adventure Park opened at the newly branded Disneyland Resort in California, becoming Disney's 8th theme park around the world.
The park has seen many changes over the years, and this year is going to experience the grand opening it's most daring project yet!

Today is the 72nd anniversary of Walt Disney's 1940 animated feature film, Pinocchio.
Premièring at the Central Theatre in New York City, it features probably the most famous of all Disney songs, When You Wish Upon a Star.
So, join us in celebrating Pinocchio and all his friend's birthdays in this character picture filled cavalcade!
Today is also the birthday of the late Wayne Allwine, who was the unmistakable voice of Mickey Mouse for over thirty years.
So in tribute to him, here is Mickey and Pinocchio together with Jiminy Cricket.

Today is the 59th anniversary of Walt Disney's masterpiece, Peter Pan.
Peter Pan premièred at the Roxy Theatre in New York City on this day in 1953, and is an adaptation of Sir J M Barrie's 1904 play.
In true Character Central tradition, we are celebrating this occasion by showcasing some our favourite shots from the Parks and Resorts over the years. We have had some wonderful, magical memories with the Peter Pan gang and hope to have many, many more!
Ok everybody, here we go! Off to Neverland!
