Hi all,

Today has seen more character news emerge, in what has been quite an eventful week so far!

The ever reliable drew81 on the wdwmagic forum posted saying that when SpectroMagic returns to the Magic Kingdom (still no idea as to when though), new characters will be added including possibly Oswald the Lucky Rabbit! Apparently the float will change colours from black to white, although how successful this will be for a night parade (black?) is yet to be seen! All the same, Oswald will be a fantastic addition, and one which the character fan community will welcome with open arms, I am sure! There is no other mention of the other new characters yet.

Staying on the wdwmagic forum, member jjnshane posted pictures of the Fab 4 donning brand new outfits for the long running Dream Along with Mickey show, also in the Magic Kingdom. They have been returned to more normal attire, but slightly more fanciful in design.

Also in Florida, but over at Hollywood Studios, as I posted yesterday, the new Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun began this weekend, and the Orlando Theme Park News website posted a video of the new version of Block Party on their website. There a few new floats, which are fairly basic looking, and some other Pixar pals that weren’t previously in Block Party have now been added, such as the popular Up characters, and the Ratatouille characters.

Moving over to California now, again, as I posted yesterday, the new Heroes in Training started in DCA, and Mr DAPS shared a video on his website of this.

Finally in Disneyland Paris, DLRP Today posted two short videos of the re-routed Once Upon a Dream Parade. One video shows the start and the other shows one the end of the revised parade. As you all are aware by now, the parade has had to be cut from eight floats to five so that the whole thing can fit around Central Plaza while the parade route up by “it’s a small world” undergoes a major refurbishment, basically replacing the whole floor.

There are some new dancers in the parade, and some characters have been moved around to accommodate for the removal of their floats. The soundtrack has also had to be cut and reworked to fit the new shortened version and now just loops the “Just Like We Dreamed It” track, with some character dialogue over the top. The parade should be returned to normal on the 1st of April in time for the new celebration year. When it does, it shall be restored to its full version, and have some more new changes which I discussed in our exclusive news the other day.
